A strange night with my cat's strange behavior

I had woken up on a strange spring night in April 2008 and went downstairs from my bedroom to drink some water. There was a strange scraping-shuffling noise coming form the entrance. After I drank water I curiously went to see the source of the noise.

That was when I realized it was coming from "everywhere."
My cat was purring unusually loudly and looking out the front window. I could hear her purring almost ten feet away. I also started to realize the scraping-shuffling noise was coming simultaneously from her direction after drawing near her.

It seemed to be coming directly from her. I did a silly thing and asked her if she was the one making the noise and surprisingly her head turned from looking away from me to her right and nodding. I was bewildered but not afraid. I was convinced it was confidential she was nodding her head right after my question.

I went back to bed without investigating the strange sound or my cat's strange behavior. In the morning it was as if nothing had happened the previous night.

I did however notice that during the same week my cat had went through seizures once or twice. But they came and passed. Seizures are simply a result of blockages in the body system flow. But if they are frequent it should be a cause of concern.

My cat had no seizures prior or after that incident at least to my knowledge.

Paranormal story: A possible case of the sixth sense or spiritual connection.

One of my uncles told me a strange story before he passed away. He was a hardcore science fiction fan and into history and religion.
He collected all sorts of books on the things that interested him which happened to include a book on Sufism.

In my paternal family were two sisters who were born with genetic disorders. Both have now passed away.
The elder one was named Cosir (best English spelling I can think of) who died much earlier and I have no memory of her. The second sister Wajee (spelling) also died but much more recently.

Both the sisters lead a life of mental retardation and were unable to speak due to their genetic disorder.
But once during her lifetime I learned from my uncle that Cosir craved one of his books on Sufism. She picked that particular book from his relatively large collection and held on to it, refusing to let go of it.

She would take and try to hide from others, holding on to it with her chest. Even when my uncle took it back and rearranged it in his collection, Cosir was still able to find that specific book about Sufism. If I remember correctly, that very book was of a famous Sufi poet. Regardless, the book was on the subject of Sufism.

Neither Cosir nor Wajee could read or write let alone speak due to their genetic disorder. Wajee did acknowledge a greeting sign from me once when I bowed my head as respect and could show facial expressions as I remember, but not speak properly.

Since Sufism is a spirituality and more removed from more strict and organized forms of faith, even the disabled can perhaps connect with it through spirituality.

Why she held the book to her chest and refused to hand it back or how she was able to distinguish that book from the other books is a mystery or because of my above theory. Or else the whole incident could have been a pure coincidence.

It's another case for skeptics and believers to argue over.

Paranormal story: A strange burst/flash.

This actually occurred this very afternoon when I was waking up late in the afternoon. I yawned and lifted my head which was instantly followed by a short bursting sound and a black flash right in front of my face.

A bursting sound like that of a light bulb when it fuses and at the speed of which a person snaps a lighter on and quickly of. I didn't know what it was or what it is now, but I'm open to the fact that it might have been my head recovering from my numbness.
